Blobby Pop privacy policy

Effective 16 October 2026. Published at https://blobby-pop.web.app/privacy.html (support: https://blobby-pop.web.app/support.html).

Blobby Pop is a puzzle game. This page explains what the game sends from your device, why, and what it never collects. The short version: there is no account, nowhere to type anything, and nothing that identifies you. What the game records is what happened in your rounds, so we can tune how hard it is. The game shows ads from Google AdMob; the section on ads below explains what that means.

What the game collects

What the game never collects

Why we collect it

Only to make the game better: to find out whether it is too hard or too easy, where players give up, and whether something is broken on a particular device. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we could not tie it to you if we wanted to.

Who can see it

The data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Google Analytics for Firebase), which processes it for us. Only the developer of Blobby Pop can see it. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone else. The ads are served by Google AdMob, which collects its own information to do that (see Ads). Everything is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Ads

Blobby Pop is free and shows ads from Google AdMob, in two places only, and only when you choose to watch one:

Both are offers, never forced. No ad ever starts on its own: there are no banners, no ads between rounds and no ads during play.

To show and measure ads, Google's ad software collects information from your device: your device's advertising identifier (where you allow it), your IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and app information (model, operating system, app version), and how you interact with the ads. Google uses it under its own policies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your choices. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, or in a US state with privacy options, the game shows Google's consent form before it shows personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time from Settings › Privacy options. On iPhone, you are asked whether apps may track you only if the consent form calls for it; if you say no, or turn tracking off in your iPhone's settings, you still see ads, but they are not personalized. You can also reset or turn off your advertising identifier in your device's settings.

Children

Blobby Pop is made for players 13 and older. It is not directed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep round records only as long as they are useful for tuning the game. Because they are anonymous, they are never kept in a form that identifies you.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the game removes everything stored on your device and ends its anonymous id; a new install starts with a new one. The rounds already sent are not linked to you, so we usually cannot pick out yours, but if you email us with the approximate dates you played and your device model, we will look and delete anything we can match.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
